Saturday Road Trip – Peony Fest

Who knew Baldwinsville NY was home to a farm which supplied the US with many of the peonies and asters you see in old time gardens.  On the outskirts of the village was a farm called Indian Springs it was only around a short amount of time and eventually closed due to hard times during the early 1930’s.

The peonies growing at the Baldwinsville historical society come from those original plants.  Below are photos from our visit on July 13, 2009.
